Deal With It!
The actions of two cowards last week forever changed the lives of hundreds, and ended the lives of at least 14 people. To make matters worse, political correctness comes to the rescue of the offenders and tries to pin the blame elsewhere. Absolutely disgusting.
We all read about the attacks at Fort Hood last week. A U.S. serviceman (I will NOT refer to him as a soldier) 'lost it' and shot up the processing center with two handguns. Some witnesses recounted he shouted "Allahu Akbar" just prior to opening up on dozens of unarmed people. At this point, that is just an allegation so I won't dwell on it.
However, many in the media immediately searched for some 'reason' someone like Nidal Hasan could snap like that. "He was despondent about being deployed to Afghanistan." "He was teased and called names like "Camel Jockey" by fellow servicemen." "He didn't believe in the U.S. mission in the Far East." Here's one man's opinion, and it is NOT politically correct: He simply couldn't DEAL WITH IT.
Gee, Nadal - life dealing you an unfair hand? GET IN LINE!!! Any justification other than the fact you are a coward is an insult to everyone you hurt Thursday.
Since we're talking about cowards, let's discuss Jason Rodriguez, who on Friday killed one and injured five in a shooting at his former employer. As he was being hauled into jail, a reporter asked him why he did it. "They left me to rot."
Poor Jason - he lost his job 2.5 years ago! Nothing like holding a grudge, huh? Are we to blame his employer, who terminated him not because of a bad economy, but for poor job performance. If that's the case, one out of every ten people would apparently be justified in a workplace shooting, since our unemployment rate is now over 10%. And the vast majority of these job losses were economy-related.
Hey, Jason - I mean COWARD - how is it that most Americans are doing what they need to do in order to survive in a tough economy, yet you can't? Oh, that's right...because you couldn't DEAL WITH IT. Worse yet, were the six people you shot the ones who left you to rot? Nope - just former co-workers who had nothing to do with your termination. In fact, the only one who had anything to do with your termination apparently, is the coward reflected back at you in the mirror each morning.
No, this posting has nothing to do with real estate notes. Sometimes I get so annoyed by current events that I have to get up on my soapbox and pontificate. Cowards killing in consecutive days qualified as one of those events.
Don't let the media convince you ANYONE other than the cowards who committed the acts are responsible for them. Life is tough - cowards lash out and take other people down with them. Why won't the media profile those out there who have been dealt a bad hand yet have still figured out how to DEAL WITH IT?
As for the cowards, lock them up together where they can throw pity parties for each other for the rest of their pathetic little lives. At least that's how I'd DEAL WITH IT!
Make it a great week.
